Grape Juice

Grapes are recommended for all heart conditions. They:

  • supply energy in the form of monosaccharides, which the heart muscle needs to contract
  • are full of potassium, calcium, magnesium and minerals, which are needed for the function of the heart
  • contain hardly any sodium or saturated fat, the two greatest enemies of the heart and the vessels.

Diseases of the coronary arteries, calcium deposits on the inner walls of the coronary arteries as well as spasmodic contractions are relatively common and show themselves as angina pectoris or as a heart attack. This is when the blood supply to the heart is completely stopped by the constriction.

Contained phenolic substances such as flavonoids and resveratrol have a positive effect on the blood circulation in the arteries, especially in the coronary arteries.

They reduce blood clotting and the risk of blood clots. The risk of clogged arteries is also reduced. Grapes inhibit the oxidation of cholesterol and prevent deposits on the inner walls of the arteries and therefore also calcium deposits.
